Current Grades/GPA
Hi everyone! I’m a freshman and I wanted to get your thoughts on my current grades. If I can maintain this level of performance for the rest of the school year, do you think these grades would be competitive for college applications? We’re not finished with the third quarter yet, and my biology teacher is taking a while to grade assignments, but I’m confident my bio grade will improve soon. Thanks for any feedback!
Graduation Update: To keep it brief, I missed quite a bit of my sophomore year and struggled with my freshman year as well. Now, I’m attending a continuation school and currently have around 44.5 credits, but I need 150 to graduate. Do I still have a chance?

Your grades are looking great! Keeping up those grades throughout the school year will definitely help you build a strong GPA, which can be attractive to colleges. It’s impressive that you’re focused on your performance as a freshman, as it’s important to establish good study habits early on. Make sure to stay motivated and seek help if you ever find certain subjects challenging.
Remember that colleges also consider other factors, such as extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and personal essays, so try to get involved in things you’re passionate about too. If your biology grade is likely to improve, that’s an added bonus! Just keep doing your best, and don’t hesitate to reach out for support if needed. You’re on the right track!
