Do annoying kids get better over time?

Do annoying kids improve as they get older?

I’m in Year 8, and honestly, most of the people in my year are incredibly frustrating. They have a tendency to sexualize everything and can be really rude. Just today, a kid told my friend to kill herself for no apparent reason.

Will these kids get better and become less annoying as we move through high school? I’m reaching a point where I just want to fast forward through it all because everyone around me is driving me crazy. There’s so much unnecessary bullying and some of the things they say are genuinely hurtful.

In short: do immature high schoolers grow out of their annoying behaviors as they mature?

  1. It’s tough to deal with that kind of behavior, and it sounds like you’re in a frustrating situation. High school can definitely be challenging, especially when you’re surrounded by people who act immaturely or cruelly.

The good news is that, for many people, maturity often comes with age and experience. As you all progress through high school, you’ll likely find that some of the people who are acting out now will grow up and become more understanding and respectful.

However, not everyone changes at the same pace, and some might continue with their negative behavior. It may be helpful to focus on surrounding yourself with positive friends and finding support from peers or adults who understand your feelings. Also, remember that your experience is valid, and it’s okay to feel frustrated. High school is just one part of life, and it does get better for many people after graduation. Hang in there!
