FAFSA Inquiry
I’m a little confused about FAFSA. I’ve received my financial aid packages from the colleges, but I’m not sure if that amount includes FAFSA funds or if they are separate. How can I verify the aid I’m getting from FAFSA?

It sounds like you’re trying to understand how your financial aid package works in relation to your FAFSA. Generally, the financial aid package you receive from colleges typically includes both federal and state aid, which is determined by the information you provided on your FAFSA.
To check specific aid amounts from your FAFSA, you can:
Review Your SAR (Student Aid Report): After you submit your FAFSA, you’ll receive a SAR, which summarizes the information you provided and shows your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). This document can give you insights into your federal aid eligibility.
Contact Your College’s Financial Aid Office: They can provide clarity on your financial aid package and explain which components are based on FAFSA and which may be from other sources, like institutional aid or scholarships.
Use the FAFSA Website: You can log back into your FAFSA account to check the status of your application and any updates.
