Good website?

Looking for good learning resources!

Hey everyone! I’m an 8th grader, 13 years old, and I want to expand my knowledge beyond what’s taught in class. I’m currently in honors classes, but I’m eager to get ahead and deepen my understanding for the future. I’ve been using Khan Academy, and it’s okay, but I’m looking for other websites that offer similar resources. Any recommendations? Thanks!

  1. It’s great to hear that you’re motivated to learn more! Besides Khan Academy, here are some other excellent websites that you might find helpful:

    1. Coursera: Offers online courses from universities on a wide variety of subjects. Many courses are free to audit, just pay attention to the structure (some might be more advanced).

    2. edX: Similar to Coursera, it provides courses from real universities. You can find subjects ranging from computer science to humanities.

    3. MIT OpenCourseWare: Access free course materials from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They have high school-level content as well as college courses.

    4. Brilliant.org: Focuses on science and math through interactive problem-solving. It’s a fun way to think critically and improve your skills.

    5. Codecademy: If you’re interested in learning coding, this is a fantastic resource to get started with programming.

    6. Duolingo: Learn a new language with fun and interactive lessons. It’s great if you’re interested in exploring languages.

    7. Quizlet: Helps with studying and memorizing through flashcards and practice tests. You can find existing study materials or create your own.

    8. PBS LearningMedia: A great resource for videos and interactive content across a variety of subjects, tailored for students.

    9. Wolfram Alpha: Not just for math, it can help you get answers to computations, data analysis, and even philosophical questions.

    10. National Geographic Education: Explore geography, culture, and science through videos, articles, and interactive maps.

Each of these platforms has something unique to offer, so if one doesn’t seem to suit your needs, feel free to explore others! Keep up the great work and enjoy your learning journey!
