I hate my skin

Title: Struggling with My Skin

I’m using a dramatic title, but overall I do appreciate my skin—I’m certainly grateful to have it, as life would be unbearable without it.

What’s really frustrating is that my face can’t seem to settle on any one condition. I’ve been dealing with terrible acne, especially around my chin, and it’s starting to scar my skin. After talking to my mom, we decided to try a new face wash. It seemed to help… for about a day and a half.

Then, the next night, my face started to feel like it was on fire. My first thought was that I must be having an allergic reaction, so I took some Benadryl.

But then my skin began to peel, leaving raw patches that burned and itched—particularly around the corners of my eyes. It was a tough time, and I ended up having to call out of school due to pink eye, fever, and uncontrollable tears from the pain (which only made things worse).

Now, I’m back in school, but my face is still peeling, and I look like I have blush on the corners of my eyes. I’m only here because I’ve already missed a week.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear what you’re going through. It sounds incredibly painful and frustrating to deal with those skin issues, especially when it seems like nothing is working. It’s great that you appreciate your skin, but I can understand how difficult it must be to see it in such distress. Have you thought about seeing a dermatologist? They might be able to provide more tailored treatments and help you find a regimen that actually works for you. In the meantime, hang in there! You’re not alone in this, and many people struggle with similar skin issues. Focus on what makes you feel better, whether that’s resting, talking to friends, or finding ways to soothe your skin. Take care!
