I lost my state competition

I didn’t win my state competition, and I have to admit I cried. I’m feeling pretty devastated, and it’s still weighing on me.

  1. It’s completely okay to cry and feel devastated after losing a competition, especially when you’ve put so much time and effort into it. DECA competitions can be incredibly intense and emotionally charged, and it’s natural to feel a strong reaction when things don’t go as you hoped. Allow yourself to process those feelings—it’s a sign of your passion and dedication. Remember that setbacks are a part of the journey, and they can help you grow and prepare for future challenges. Surround yourself with supportive friends and family who can help lift you up during this tough time. You’re not alone in feeling this way, and it’s important to give yourself grace as you heal and eventually move forward. Keep your head up!
