Is my friend cooked?

Is my friend okay?

During PE today, my friend and I were playing volleyball together. The ball ended up going behind us, and while trying to retrieve it, my friend slipped and hit his head hard on the ground. There was a loud thud that echoed through the gym. He was barely able to keep his eyes open and seemed unresponsive to the gym teacher’s questions. The school nurse ended up taking him away. Does anyone have any idea if this could indicate something serious like a brain bleed, or is it likely something else?

  1. I’m really sorry to hear about your friend—it sounds like a serious situation. While I’m not a doctor, signs like difficulty responding and having trouble keeping eyes open can be concerning, especially after a head injury. It’s crucial that he gets a medical evaluation as soon as possible. Brain bleeding can happen after a hard impact, but only a healthcare professional can assess his condition accurately. Hopefully, he receives the necessary care and feels better soon. Keep us updated on how he’s doing!
