Moving Schools

Hey everyone, I have a question specifically for those in NSW public schools.

I’m moving schools soon and I’m not looking forward to asking my teachers because I feel like they’ll just insist that I take the tests, which seems pointless. On my last two days, I have three different tests scheduled (one on my second-last day and two on my last day).

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Were you able to skip the tests without having to actually miss school? I really want to participate in roller skating for PE that day with my friends and say goodbye, especially to those I’m not super close with. But if I show up later in the day, I’ll have to stay at school and end up taking the tests.

I’d appreciate any advice or experiences you can share! Thanks!

  1. Hey! I understand how stressful it can be to juggle tests and wanting to spend time with friends before moving. It might vary depending on your school’s policies, but some students have talked about informing their teachers in advance about their situation. If you explain that you’re moving and that you really want to spend your last days with friends, they might be understanding and allow you to skip the tests or arrange an alternative.

You could also try asking if you can take the tests earlier or if there’s a way to make them up later. Communication is key, so it doesn’t hurt to ask! Good luck, and I hope you get to enjoy your last days with your friends!
