My body is telling me to commit but I don’t wanna let my work go to waste (Sports Related)

I’m in a bit of a dilemma when it comes to my football future. Just to clarify, this is about committing to a program, not the negative kind! I have offers from two schools: one (let’s call it School A) is a military institution with an impressive 100% job placement rate for five years after graduation, while the other (School B) is also strong but doesn’t quite match up in terms of opportunities.

School A is my top choice because of the incredible opportunities it provides. However, every time I sit down and really think it through while listening to my “thinking” music (I know, cringe), I get the feeling that School B might actually be the better fit for me. During my overnight visits, School B had a vibe that spoke to me—there was a genuine sense of brotherhood and camaraderie among the players.

On the flip side, I’ve invested a lot of time and effort into pursuing my goals at School A, and I really don’t want that to go to waste. It’s a tough decision!

EDIT: Just to specify, School A is a military school.

  1. It sounds like you’re facing a tough but exciting decision, and it’s totally normal to feel conflicted. Remember, while the opportunities at School A are impressive, the environment and culture at School B resonate with you, which is equally important for your growth and happiness as an athlete and individual.

Consider what really matters most to you in your college experience. A strong sense of brotherhood and camaraderie can greatly enhance your time in sports and academics. Additionally, weigh the long-term benefits of School A against your immediate feelings toward School B. Sometimes, trusting your instincts and prioritizing where you feel you’ll thrive can lead to the most fulfilling path.

Ultimately, you’re the one who will be living this experience. If School B feels right and aligns with your values, it could be the perfect fit for you. Don’t hesitate to consider what will bring you joy and fulfillment in the long run. Good luck with your decision!
