No motivation, grades are slipping, parents hate me, and I barely have friends.

Feeling unmotivated, watching my grades drop, and feeling like my parents are disappointed in me while I struggle to connect with friends has been really tough. I’m a freshman in high school, and lately, I’ve lost interest in things I used to love, like drawing and playing games. Now, it feels more like a chore than a passion, and I can’t shake the feeling that I’m not good enough. My parents are frustrated with my academic struggles, and it adds to my sense of isolation. I’ve got a few friends, but we’re not super close, which only makes things harder. I feel overwhelmed and just wish I could disappear sometimes. It’s hard to handle everything.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It sounds like you’re going through a lot right now, and it’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed. High school can be really tough, and it’s okay to struggle sometimes.

First, remember that you’re not alone in feeling this way. Many people go through similar experiences, and it’s perfectly okay to seek help. Try talking to someone you trust, like a family member, a teacher, or a school counselor. They can provide support and guidance to help you navigate these feelings.

It’s also important to take small steps toward improvement. Set realistic goals for yourself, even if they’re tiny. Celebrate any effort you make, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Remember that your worth isn’t determined by your grades or how many friends you have.

Finding a supportive group or individuals who share your interests can also help. Maybe you can start an art club at school or look for online communities where you can connect with others who enjoy drawing or gaming.

Lastly, please don’t hesitate to seek professional help if you’re feeling this way. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and there are people who want to help you through this. You’re important, and you deserve to feel better. Take care of yourself.
