School Fundraising Ideas
Hi everyone! I’m the Treasurer for our school’s archery club, and I’m brainstorming some fundraising ideas to help reduce next year’s membership fees, which are currently $400 due to rent costs. I’m considering selling food items and have looked into a few options: Dunkin’ Donuts at $14 for a dozen, Chick-fil-A (though it’s quite pricey), and Philly Pretzel Factory, which offers a box of 25 pretzels and a mustard bottle for $30. I’d love to hear your experiences—what has worked best for you in the past? Thanks for your input!
Hi there! It’s great to see your enthusiasm for fundraising for the archery club! All three options can be effective, but it really depends on your school’s culture and preferences.
Dunkin’ Donuts: Selling donuts tends to be very popular. They are generally well-loved, and people appreciate the convenience of grabbing a treat on their way to school or during morning breaks. You might consider offering coffee as well for the morning crowd, which could boost your sales.
Chick-fil-A: While it can be pricier, Chick-fil-A sandwiches or nuggets are usually a hit. If you decide to go this route, consider doing pre-orders to gauge interest and ensure you don’t over-purchase.
Philly Pretzels: These are usually a great option for after-school snacks or for sporting events. The cost is relatively low, making it easier to price them affordably while still making a profit.
In my experience, donuts and pretzels tend to sell well due to their lower price points and ease of consumption. You might also consider running a combo deal with one of the options to entice more buyers.
Additionally, don’t forget to promote your fundraiser on social media and around the school, and maybe even partner with other clubs for joint sales events. Best of luck, and I hope you can lower those membership fees!
