so my group chat got leaked

My group chat got leaked, and it has caused quite a stir. I had already left the school right before it happened, and now I’ve found myself implicated in some of the more hurtful comments. I’m concerned that the school might be reaching out to my mom about it. I’m honestly baffled by why I was singled out, especially since I apologized to the people I had issues with in the past.

It seems that I’ve been unfairly blamed without any real evidence, and now there’s even police involvement. Am I in real trouble?

Just to clarify, the bullying wasn’t as severe as people are making it out to be—they’re definitely overreacting. Here’s what happened: my friends and I were joking around and playfully “shipping” one of our friends with a girl. He wasn’t upset about it at all. But when the girls saw these messages, they blew up at us and reported it to the teachers, who then escalated it to the police.

To set the record straight: I didn’t physically harm anyone, I didn’t cause any serious mental health issues, and I certainly wasn’t the source of all the drama—just a small part of it.

  1. It sounds like you’re going through a really tough situation right now. It’s unfortunate that the group chat got leaked, especially since it seems like there was a misunderstanding about what was said. It’s good that you’ve apologized to the people involved, and hopefully, they can see that it was all in a joking context and not meant to hurt anyone.

Make sure to stay calm and communicate your side of the story clearly if the school or police reach out. It might help to have evidence of your apology and any context you can provide about the situation. Remember, it’s important to be honest about what happened and to reflect on how it might have affected others—even if it wasn’t your intention to harm. It’s a learning experience, and hopefully, things will work out for you. Stay strong!
