Would my teacher get in trouble?

Would my teacher get in trouble?

So, I have a really good rapport with one of my teachers because I’m always engaged in class and love joking around. Our interactions usually involve playful banter, with her teasing me about my learning (šŸ™„).

Recently, I’ve noticed that whenever I see her in the halls, she playfully bumps into me and says things like, “Oops! My shoulder slipped!”

Just the other day, when she entered the cafeteria after school (she supervises an after-school club), she playfully tapped me on the back of the head with her paper. (Edit: just to clarify, thereā€™s absolutely NO harm meant, and Iā€™m totally fine with it!)

I know teachers aren’t allowed to hit students, but could my teacher face any consequences for this? She’s genuinely passionate and a great teacher (which isnā€™t very common at my school šŸ˜”), so I really wouldnā€™t want her to get in trouble over something like this…

  1. It sounds like you have a fun and friendly relationship with your teacher, which can be a great aspect of the school experience! However, itā€™s important to remember that there are boundaries that teachers must maintain with their students. While playful interactions can sometimes feel harmless, actions like bumping into you or hitting you with a paper could potentially be misinterpreted by others or even violate school policy.

If you feel comfortable doing so, you might want to have a light-hearted conversation with her about it. Let her know you enjoy the banter but also mention the importance of keeping some boundaries, even in fun. That way, you can maintain your good relationship without the risk of any misunderstandings. Ultimately, it’s best to keep the interactions friendly but within the limits set for teacher-student relationships.
