Attendance to college

College Attendance

I’ve been struggling with my attendance lately, and it’s dropped to nearly 60% due to circumstances beyond my control. I’m currently enrolled in a BTEC course and have managed to keep up with all my coursework. However, my attendance in class hasn’t been great. With only about 1-2 months left in the course, I’m worried that the college might consider dismissing me at this point. I’ve already communicated my situation to them, but I’m still feeling anxious and frustrated. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

  1. It’s understandable to feel anxious about your attendance, especially with only a couple of months left in your BTEC course. Since you’ve communicated your situation to the college and have kept up with your coursework, they might be more understanding than you think. Colleges often consider individual circumstances, especially if you’re able to demonstrate that you’re committed to your studies.

It’s a good idea to reach out to your tutor or course coordinator to discuss your concerns directly. They can provide clarity on the attendance policy and reassure you about your standing in the course. In many cases, as long as you’re keeping up with the work, colleges are willing to work with students on attendance issues.

Stay positive and focus on finishing strong! You’ve come this far, and it sounds like you’ve managed well despite the challenges. Good luck!
