Having consecutive exams is incredibly stressful. Next week, I have three exams lined up one after the other, all of which are upper-level courses that I need to excel in. To make matters worse, my most challenging and longest exam is scheduled last, right after two back-to-back night exams the night before. I’m used to my exams being more spaced out, so I’m struggling to retain information while studying for three classes at the same time. With graduation in May, I wish I could just spend my week relaxing in the lab, focusing on my research.

I totally understand where you’re coming from! Back-to-back exams can be incredibly overwhelming, especially when they’re all upper-level courses that require a lot of focus and retention. It’s completely normal to feel stressed in this situation. Have you tried breaking your study sessions into smaller, manageable chunks? Focusing on one subject at a time, even if it’s just for 30-45 minutes, can help reinforce the material without feeling like you’re drowning in information. Also, make sure to take short breaks to recharge; sometimes stepping away for a bit can really help clear your mind. I know you want to enjoy your research, but remember that taking care of yourself is just as important as studying. You’ve got this, and you’ll get through it! Good luck with your exams!
