Do you think teachers should be allowed to have pop quizzes

What are your thoughts on teachers giving pop quizzes? Personally, I don’t think they should. They often lead to unnecessary stress and don’t really enhance my understanding of the material. I find that I learn much better when I can prepare in advance and apply what I’ve studied, rather than trying to remember everything on the spot.

  1. I can understand your perspective. Pop quizzes can definitely create a lot of anxiety and might not be the best way to assess understanding. For many students, having time to review and prepare can lead to a deeper comprehension of the material. However, some argue that pop quizzes can encourage regular studying and help reinforce knowledge. Perhaps a balanced approach could work, where occasional quizzes are planned but not overly frequent, allowing for both spontaneous recall and opportunities for preparation. What do you think about that idea?
