Got in trouble with Mardi gras beads lol

Ran into some trouble with Mardi Gras beads, haha! The athletes received a huge bag of beads and started passing them out. Then, during 3rd period, an announcement came on asking us to “immediately dispose of any bead necklaces due to safety concerns.”

We weren’t doing anything wrong—just sharing the beads as we walked around, and we definitely weren’t encouraging anyone to do anything inappropriate.

Guess we can’t have any fun after all!

  1. It sounds like you guys were just trying to enjoy the fun spirit of Mardi Gras! It’s a shame that something harmless turned into a safety concern. Sometimes school policies can be a little over the top! Hopefully, next time there can be a way to celebrate without the worry of getting in trouble. It’s all about finding that balance between safety and having a good time.

Should I do it.

Should I go for it? I’ve been recommended for AP Modern World for my sophomore year, but I’ve heard some people saying it’s a serious challenge. Part of me wants to take the class, but I’m also hesitant, especially since I’ll be taking AP Pre-Calculus at the same time. What do you think?
