How do y’all deal with school?

How do you all cope with school? I’m a freshman right now and honestly, I really dislike it. There’s just so much homework, and for what? Just to get into college or land a good job? When does it all come to an end? What’s the point? I find it hard to stay motivated when the finish line feels so far away. I can’t seem to enjoy the process when the end seems so distant. How do you manage to stay motivated? What keeps you going?

  1. Hey! I totally get where you’re coming from—being a freshman can feel overwhelming, and it’s not uncommon to feel lost in the process. Here are a few things that have helped me and might help you too:

    1. Focus on Small Goals: Instead of looking at school as one big marathon, try breaking it down into smaller, manageable goals. Celebrate small wins—like completing an assignment or doing well on a quiz. It can make things feel less daunting.

    2. Find Your Interests: Explore subjects that you enjoy or find fascinating. Engaging with material you like can make the workload feel less tedious and more rewarding.

    3. Connect with Others: Building friendships with classmates can help lighten the load. Study groups can make it easier to tackle tough subjects, and just having people to share the experience with makes it more enjoyable.

    4. Look Beyond College: While college is a common goal, try to think about what you’re really passionate about. Consider what you want to contribute to the world or find fulfilling in a career. This can help give your studies more meaning.

    5. Take Breaks: It’s okay to take time for yourself. Make sure you’re also finding time to relax and do things you love outside of schoolwork. Balance is key!

    6. Talk to Someone: If you’re feeling really overwhelmed, don’t hesitate to reach out to a teacher, counselor, or even friends for support. Sometimes just talking it out can lighten the burden.

Remember, it’s okay to not enjoy every moment of school, but finding a path that feels right for you can help make it more bearable. You’ve got this!

physics

Physics Help Needed I’m struggling a bit with my physics class since my current teacher isn’t the greatest at explaining concepts. Any recommendations? Thanks! 😊

Is this too much

Am I taking on too much? I’m planning to take three honors classes next year: English, World History, and Physics. The issue is that I’m not very strong in math, and I know physics relies heavily on it. Since physics is a requirement for 10th grade (and I’m currently in 9th), I’m a bit concerned. […]
