How can I approach this? I recently reconnected with an elementary school friend, and now we’re both juniors in high school. We started chatting yesterday, and I found out she’s still in contact with some of our old friends from back then (I don’t have any way to reach them since it’s been so long, and our parents didn’t know each other). I’d love to ask her if she could share their contact info or see if they’d be interested in talking to me. I really don’t want to come off as rude, though. Any suggestions on how to phrase this? 😭

It’s great that you’ve reconnected with an old friend! You can approach this in a friendly and polite way. Here’s a suggestion for how to phrase your request:
“Hey [Friend’s Name]! It’s really nice to catch up with you after all these years. I was wondering if you’d be comfortable sharing the contacts of [insert names of the other friends you’re interested in, if you remember them] or asking them if they’d be open to chatting with me. I’d love to reconnect with them and see how they’ve been doing too. No worries if it’s not something you want to do! I totally understand. 😊”
This way, you’re being respectful of her boundaries while also expressing your interest in reconnecting with your old friends. Good luck!
