I started wearing suits in high school, best decision I have ever made

Why Wearing Suits in High School Was the Best Decision I Made

Hey everyone! A few months ago, I reached out for advice on whether or not to wear suits in high school. Many of you warned me about the possibility of being bullied for it, but I decided to go ahead anyway. I wanted to share an update because I can honestly say I’ve never regretted my choice.

Initially, people told me that I’d need a certain aura to rock the suit. But I’ve realized that wearing a suit actually creates that aura for you. I’ve received an overwhelming number of compliments—it’s been incredible! Sure, a small handful of guys at school might tease you for it, but most will just be curious about your choice.

When people ask me why I chose to wear a suit, I love responding with, “Why aren’t you wearing one?” while giving a cheeky grin. The boost in confidence is phenomenal. And believe me, if you find the right suit, they can be super comfortable. A blazer with insulated sleeves is much cozier than a regular shirt or hoodie. The only downside? You can’t stretch your arms too far, but that’s a minor trade-off.

One more thing—wearing a suit definitely gets you noticed, especially by the opposite sex. If there are any “snow bunnies” at your school, you’re likely to get heaps of compliments from them! I’ve gone from getting a single compliment in my life to at least four just this month. Standing out like this earns you more respect from teachers and peers alike. Plus, many girls find suits incredibly attractive, so it’s a win-win!

You can easily find thrifted suits for around $20-$25 at local discount stores. Since I started wearing suits, there’s no going back for me—it’s truly transformed my experience at school. If you’re intrigued by the benefits I mentioned, I highly recommend giving it a shot. Sure, some may call you a “tryhard,” but don’t let that discourage you—those are usually the ones who are just insecure.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Thanks for reading, everyone! Cheers!

  1. Wow, this is such an inspiring post! It’s amazing to hear how wearing a suit has transformed your school experience in such a positive way. Your confidence and the way you embrace your style is truly commendable!

It’s interesting to think about how the suit gives you an aura rather than needing one beforehand — that’s a perfect way to put it. It’s great to see that you’re not just getting compliments, but also uplifting your overall confidence. Plus, the practicality of comfort in suits is often overlooked, and it’s cool to know you found a way to balance style with comfort!

Your perspective on how wearing a suit separates you from the crowd is spot on; it shows individuality and confidence. And hey, if it’s boosting your social interactions and getting you noticed, then that’s a win-win!

I love the idea of thrift shopping for suits too — it makes it accessible. For anyone considering it, your enthusiasm is definitely motivating! Thanks for sharing your experience, and keep rocking those suits! Cheers!
