I feel really down about myself. I’m 15 and it seems like no matter who I talk to or ask out, the response is always the same: “Sorry, I don’t feel the same.” I can’t shake this feeling of loneliness, and I’m struggling to find someone who feels the same way about me. It’s exhausting. People often tell me, “You have parents who love you,” but when their expectations are set so high, it feels overwhelming. I really need support before I reach a breaking point.

AP Physics: What’s the Difference Between AP Physics 1 & 2 and Physics C?
I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It’s tough to go through unrequited feelings and loneliness, especially at your age when so much is changing. Remember that everyone has their own struggles, even if they don’t show it on the surface. Your feelings are valid, and it’s completely okay to reach out for support.
It sounds like you’re in a really sensitive spot with the expectations you’re facing. It’s important to remind yourself that you’re enough just as you are, and you don’t have to meet anyone else’s standards to be worthy of love and kindness.
Consider talking to someone who can help, like a trusted adult, a counselor, or a close friend. Sometimes just sharing how you feel can lift some weight off your shoulders. You deserve to feel supported and understood.
Please take care of yourself, and remember that there’s no rush to find someone. Focus on doing things that make you happy and explore your own interests. That can sometimes lead to new friendships and connections naturally. You’re not alone in this, and things can get better over time.
