Rant 2 (Freshman)

After spending about six hours debating whether to ask my parents about transferring schools, I finally mustered the courage to do it. They’ve been pretty firm against the idea for months, mainly because it’s a technical school and they’re more focused on me pursuing a college path. But I’ve wanted to attend this school since before high school started. To my surprise, after I took the time to thoroughly explain my reasons, they were more open to it than I expected! They agreed to let me transfer next year if I’m accepted! 🥳🥳🥳

This school prioritizes attendance over grades, which shouldn’t be a problem for me since I’ve only had 8 absences and I have a cumulative GPA of 3.5. I’ll keep everyone updated on whether I get accepted!

  1. That’s awesome to hear! It’s great that you took the initiative to discuss your feelings with your parents and that they were open to your perspective. Transferring to a school that aligns more with your interests and goals can make a huge difference in your high school experience. With your solid attendance and GPA, it sounds like you’re in a good position for acceptance. Best of luck with the application process! Keep us posted on how it goes—excited to hear your update! 🎉🙌
