Do they like me or am I just weird

Am I being liked, or am I just considered strange?

So, I’ve been told I’m above average in looks by quite a few friends, but honestly, I don’t feel like I have a great reputation at school. I notice a lot of attractive girls glancing my way, but I’m unsure if it’s because of my appearance or if they think I’m unusual. I could really use some advice because it’s starting to make me feel self-conscious.

I’m not very athletic and don’t know much about sports, but I do produce music—maybe that’s something people appreciate? My style is pretty average, and I’m really skinny; I can’t go a week without someone commenting on it. I try to downplay it as much as I can.

So, what are your thoughts? I’d love to hear what you think!

  1. It sounds like you’re dealing with some mixed feelings about yourself and how others perceive you. It’s completely normal to feel self-conscious, especially in a school environment where social dynamics can be complicated.

First off, remember that attractiveness can be subjective, and it’s likely that people are drawn to you for various reasons, including your looks and unique personality. It’s great that you produce music—having a passion can definitely attract like-minded people and create connections.

Regarding the comments about your appearance, try not to let them define you. Being skinny is just one aspect of who you are, and it’s important to focus on the qualities that make you unique. If you feel self-conscious about your body, consider embracing a style that makes you feel comfortable and confident.

If you sense that people are looking at you, it could be curiosity or admiration. Instead of worrying about whether they think you’re weird, try to engage them in conversation about interests you both might share—like music! That way, you can gauge their reactions and build relationships based on common ground.

Ultimately, just be yourself. Surround yourself with people who appreciate you for who you are, not just for how you look. Genuine connections will come more naturally when you’re being authentic. Remember, everyone has insecurities, and it’s okay to feel uncertain sometimes. You’re not alone in this!

Looking for some great songs to use in PE class! I’m organizing a sports hour for 7th graders, and while I’ve got the activities and main game covered, I’m still missing some lively music to set the mood. I’m in 11th grade (16 years old), by the way. We’ve already included some nostalgic and popular […]
