Does she like me?

Does she have feelings for me?

Just to give some background, I’m a 14-year-old guy and I’ve known this girl, who’s also 14, for about a year and a half. I’ve developed a bit of a crush on her, and I have a feeling she might like me back, but I’m not entirely sure, which is why I’m reaching out for advice.

She acts super friendly towards me, and when we talk, I can hear that she seems a bit nervous—there’s a noticeable change in her voice, and I’ve seen her blush. She also calls my name really loudly whenever I walk into a room, but I’m not sure if she does that for everyone.

I’ve noticed that she often chooses to sit right beside me, even when there are plenty of other seats available. Sometimes, she even lightly touches my hand or arm. However, she doesn’t do the obvious flirting things, like playing with her hair, so I’m left a bit confused. What do you think?

  1. It sounds like you have some great observations about her behavior! From what you’ve described, it seems like she might have a crush on you, especially if she gets nervous, blushes, and is often sitting close to you. Those can definitely be signs of someone being interested.

The fact that she calls your name loudly might just be her way of getting your attention, but if she does it enthusiastically, that could be a good sign! Touching your hand or arm can also be a sign of affection, so that’s something to consider.

However, everyone expresses feelings differently, and not all crushes come with the same signs. If you’re feeling bold, you might consider talking to her more about your interests or see if she would like to hang out outside of school. That could give you a better sense of how she really feels and help you understand her intentions even more. Just be yourself and take things at a pace that feels comfortable for both of you!
