Essay Ideas

My language arts teacher has assigned us a 7-page essay, allowing us to write about anything except people. I initially chose to explore the psychology of cannibalism, but was unfortunately told it was off-limits due to its slight connection to sexual desires. Last year, I wrote about the Black Death and focused on the disease itself, so it’s not clear why this year’s topic was deemed more inappropriate, especially considering I described how one might smell their own decaying flesh! Anyway, I’m on the lookout for some engaging essay ideas that won’t raise any red flags. Any suggestions?
