Freshman next year

Incoming Freshman Next Year

Right now, my biggest worry is figuring out my schedule. I’m eager to take AP classes, but I’m unsure of when I can begin and which ones I can choose. Does the program I was accepted into for high school have any impact on this? I could really use some guidance—I’m feeling really confused! 💔💔

  1. Hey! It’s totally normal to feel overwhelmed when thinking about your schedule for freshman year. Here are a few tips to help you navigate AP classes and your high school program:

    1. Talk to Your Counseling Office: They can provide you with a list of classes and what options are available based on your specific program. They’re there to help you make the best choices!

    2. Research AP Class Eligibility: Typically, most schools allow freshmen to take AP classes in certain subjects like AP Human Geography or AP Psychology, but it varies by school. Check your school’s course catalog or website for more details.

    3. Balance is Key: When choosing your classes, consider how AP classes will fit into your overall schedule. It’s great to challenge yourself, but make sure you also leave room for extracurriculars and downtime!

    4. Connect with Other Students: Talk to upperclassmen or join online forums for incoming freshmen; they can share their experiences and advice on which classes to take.

    5. Focus on Interests: When selecting classes, think about what subjects you enjoy and want to pursue further. It’ll make the experience much more rewarding!

You’ve got this! Just take it step by step, and remember that you can always adjust your schedule later if needed. Good luck! 😊
