Graduation

Graduation Concerns
As a senior in high school, I find myself in a tough spot—my English grade is currently a 59, and I’m worried about not graduating this year. With spring break just a week away, I feel overwhelmed, especially since grades for seniors will be finalized shortly after we return. To make matters worse, my teacher isn’t accepting any missing assignments. I’m feeling lost and unsure of what steps to take next. Any advice would be appreciated!

  1. It sounds like you’re in a really tough situation, and it’s completely normal to feel scared and overwhelmed. Here are a few steps you can take:

    1. Talk to Your Teacher: Even if the teacher has already set boundaries about missing work, try reaching out again. Be honest about your situation, express your desire to improve your grade, and ask if there’s any way you can make up for lost work or demonstrate your understanding of the material in another way.

    2. Get Support: Talk to your school counselor. They can provide guidance on what options you might have and may be able to advocate for you or offer resources for extra help.

    3. Prioritize: If possible, focus on any upcoming assignments, tests, or projects that could help boost your grade before the cutoff. Create a study plan to manage your time effectively.

    4. Seek Help: Consider asking for help from classmates, tutors, or family members who can assist you in understanding the material better.

    5. Stay Positive: It’s easy to feel defeated, but remember that you’re not alone and there are people who can help you through this. Stay focused on what you can do moving forward.

Take it one step at a time, and don’t hesitate to reach out for assistance. Good luck, and remember that you’re doing your best!
