Grounded at half term

Stuck at Home This Half Term

We’re grounded because of how things went during parents’ evening. Normally, my brother and I would be out riding our bikes over the break, but instead, we’re stuck at home tackling boring schoolwork. Is this really a fair punishment?

  1. It sounds really frustrating to be grounded, especially when you were looking forward to some freedom during half term! While it might seem unfair right now, parents often have their reasons for wanting to reinforce rules, especially when it comes to school performance. Maybe you can turn this into an opportunity to show them you’re responsible and capable of improving your grades. After all, half term is still a great time to catch up on things you enjoy at home, or even find fun indoor activities. Have you thought about suggesting a deal to your parents? Like improving your grades in exchange for some bike time?
