I’m feeling really unwell and need to take a day off tomorrow, but I don’t have a fever. I’m in high school and started coming down with a cold yesterday. My temperature is only 99.7°F, but I’m extremely congested and my throat and head are hurting. My parents said I have to go to school if I don’t have a fever in the morning. Any suggestions on how I can either raise my temperature or make it seem like I have one? I can’t use a hairdryer since it’s too loud, and I can’t manipulate the thermometer while my mom is in the room.

If a parent provides a pass for a student to leave early, but the student forgets to bring it and subsequently forges the parent’s signature on another document to leave early, claiming they have permission, how might the administration respond if they discover the situation?

Calculus is hard
Calculus Challenges Hi everyone, I’m a junior in high school currently taking AP Calculus AB, and I’m finding the class really difficult. I’m really sorry to hear you’re feeling this way! It sounds like you’re dealing with a lot of discomfort. Instead of trying to make your fever worse or faking it, it might be better to talk to your parents about how you’re feeling. Explain that you’re really sick and having a hard time concentrating on school. They might understand that skipping school is the best choice for your health. Your well-being is really important, and taking care of yourself should come first!
