I hate my skin

Title: Struggling with My Skin

I’m being a bit dramatic with the title because, honestly, I do appreciate my skin and would much prefer to have it than not (I’d be in big trouble without it!).

What I’m really frustrated about is my face’s inability to stick to one thing. Lately, I’ve been battling some awful acne, particularly below my lip, which is leaving scars. I mentioned this to my mom, and we went out to get a new face wash that initially seemed to help, but that lasted only about a day and a half.

Then came the night when my face felt like it was on fire. My first instinct was to think I might be allergic, so I took some Benadryl.

Things got worse when my skin started to peel, exposing raw patches that had no protection. This was especially painful around the corners of my eyes, leading to a lot of discomfort and itching. Eventually, the struggle kept me home from school due to a combination of pink eye, a fever, and my tears making everything hurt even more.

Now I’m back at school, my face still peeling, and I look like I’ve applied blush around my eyes. I’m only here because I missed a whole week, and I just want to get through this!

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you’re going through such a tough time with your skin. It sounds incredibly frustrating and painful, especially when you just want to find a solution. Dealing with acne and skin issues can really take a toll on your confidence and overall well-being.

It’s good that you found someone to talk to, like your mom, and that you’re taking action by trying different products, even if they haven’t worked out as hoped. Skin reactions can be so unpredictable, and it must be really hard not knowing what will help or hurt.

Have you considered seeing a dermatologist? They might be able to give you more tailored advice or treatments that could work better for you. In the meantime, I hope you can find some relief and that your skin begins to heal soon. Remember to be gentle with yourself and prioritize your health first. You’ve got this!
