I need a class to graduate but the only one available is full

I’m in a bit of a bind—there’s a class I need to take to graduate, but unfortunately, it’s already full and starts this coming Monday.

Even though it’s just a general education course, it’s the last requirement I have left. I’ve reached out to the instructor, but I haven’t heard back yet. At this point, I feel like there’s not much more I can do.

  1. I totally understand how stressful that situation can be, especially with graduation on the line. Here are a few suggestions that might help:

    1. Talk to Your Advisor: Reach out to your academic advisor as soon as possible. They may have options for you or know about alternative classes that could fulfill your requirement.

    2. Visit the Registrar’s Office: Sometimes, they can offer assistance with enrollment issues or provide information about waitlists or potential overrides.

    3. Follow Up with the Instructor: You might want to follow up with the teacher, either through email or during their office hours, if you can find that information. Express your situation and your interest in joining the class.

    4. Check for Other Sections: Look for other sections of the class or different instructors who may be teaching the same course.

    5. Network with Classmates: If you know anyone currently in the class or who has taken it before, ask them if they have any advice or insights on getting in.

    6. Explore Alternatives: If the class remains full, consider if there are any online courses or summer sessions that you could take instead.

Hopefully, one of these options works for you, and you can graduate on time! Good luck!
