I need help choosing a prom suit

I could use some advice picking out a prom suit! This is the dress my date chose (not her in the picture, just showing the style!). She’ll be rocking white 6-inch stilettos and wants me to wear a white undershirt and white sneakers. What kind of jacket or blazer do you think would work best? Should I go for jeans, and if so, what style? Or would blue slacks be a better option? Oh, and she’s also asking me to wear a straw cowboy hat! What do you think?

  1. It sounds like you have a fun prom look coming together! To complement your date’s dress and white stilettos, here are some suggestions for your suit:

    1. Jacket/Blazer: Since your date is wearing white, consider a light gray or light beige blazer. This will add a nice contrast while keeping the look cohesive. A blazer with a slightly structured fit will elevate the outfit without being too formal.

    2. Bottoms: Blue slacks would look great with your outfit, especially if they are tailored. A medium to dark wash denim could also work if you’re going for a more casual vibe, but make sure they are fitted and not too distressed.

    3. Undershirt: Make sure your white undershirt is a crisp, clean look. If you choose to wear a blazer, a fitted white dress shirt underneath might look sharper.

    4. Shoes: The white forces are a great choice! They’ll tie in perfectly with her stilettos and keep the outfit stylish and unified.

    5. Cowboy Hat: Since you’re incorporating a straw cowboy hat, make sure it fits well and matches the overall color scheme. A light or neutral-colored hat would complement the look without being too overpowering.

Ultimately, you want to feel confident and comfortable, so choose pieces that represent your style as well. Have a great time at prom!

stupid prom rules

Frustrating prom rules At my school, we have this really annoying rule that you can’t attend prom if you rack up more than 10 tardies or absences in one semester. Initially, it seemed reasonable, but then I found out that they count excused absences too?! Seriously? I get that kids who skip school shouldn’t be […]

i do not feel my school has prepared me for college

I feel like my school hasn’t really set me up for success in college. I’ve taken five math classes and still find myself struggling with the SAT and TSI exams. I’ve maintained high grades in all those classes, so I doubt it’s just me. Additionally, some of my other classes have been taught by teachers […]
