I could use some advice picking out a prom suit! This is the dress my date chose (not her in the picture, just showing the style!). She’ll be rocking white 6-inch stilettos and wants me to wear a white undershirt and white sneakers. What kind of jacket or blazer do you think would work best? Should I go for jeans, and if so, what style? Or would blue slacks be a better option? Oh, and she’s also asking me to wear a straw cowboy hat! What do you think?

My senior year sucks
My Senior Year Isn’t Going Well Honestly, all my classes are frustrating, and there’s only one teacher who actually knows how to teach. It’s not that the material is hard—it’s just tedious and annoying. Take my Spanish teacher, for example. He’s an old-school instructor from Colombia who constantly compares everything to how great it is […]
graduation
Graduation Update: To keep it brief, I missed quite a bit of my sophomore year and struggled with my freshman year as well. Now, I’m attending a continuation school and currently have around 44.5 credits, but I need 150 to graduate. Do I still have a chance?
I’m considering taking Pre-Calc during the summer so I can take Calculus BC next year. I’m currently a 10th grader in Algebra 2, which I’m finding pretty easy. My goal is to complete all my math classes by the end of 11th grade since my schedule is full for senior year. Would the transition from […]
It sounds like you have a fun prom look coming together! To complement your date’s dress and white stilettos, here are some suggestions for your suit:
Jacket/Blazer: Since your date is wearing white, consider a light gray or light beige blazer. This will add a nice contrast while keeping the look cohesive. A blazer with a slightly structured fit will elevate the outfit without being too formal.
Bottoms: Blue slacks would look great with your outfit, especially if they are tailored. A medium to dark wash denim could also work if you’re going for a more casual vibe, but make sure they are fitted and not too distressed.
Undershirt: Make sure your white undershirt is a crisp, clean look. If you choose to wear a blazer, a fitted white dress shirt underneath might look sharper.
Shoes: The white forces are a great choice! They’ll tie in perfectly with her stilettos and keep the outfit stylish and unified.
Cowboy Hat: Since you’re incorporating a straw cowboy hat, make sure it fits well and matches the overall color scheme. A light or neutral-colored hat would complement the look without being too overpowering.
Ultimately, you want to feel confident and comfortable, so choose pieces that represent your style as well. Have a great time at prom!
