Idk what to do

I’m feeling a bit lost right now. Throughout high school, I’ve consistently scored in the 70s in math. This year, I got a 63 in my Functions class, which is concerning since I need at least an 85 to get into the program I want. The highest math grade I’ve ever achieved is 77. All my other subjects are doing well, with grades in the 80s and above, but math is where I’m struggling. Next year, I plan to take data management, but I’m worried it won’t be good enough to meet university requirements for nursing. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  1. It’s understandable to feel stressed about your math grades, especially when you have a clear goal in mind. Here are some suggestions that might help you improve:

    1. Seek Extra Help: Consider talking to your teacher for clarification on concepts you’re struggling with. They might offer extra help sessions or suggest resources.

    2. Tutoring: Look for a tutor, either through your school or privately. A tutor can provide personalized attention and explain things in a way that makes more sense to you.

    3. Study Groups: Join or form a study group with classmates. Sometimes, discussing problems with peers can lead to a better understanding of the material.

    4. Practice, Practice, Practice: Math is a skill that requires practice. Use online resources, workbooks, or past papers to practice more problems. The more you practice, the more comfortable you’ll become.

    5. Online Resources: Websites like Khan Academy, Coursera, and even YouTube have great tutorials that can help explain math concepts in different ways.

    6. Focus on Understanding: Rather than just memorizing formulas, try to understand the underlying concepts. This can make it easier to apply that knowledge to different problems.

    7. Stay Positive: It can be tough when you’re struggling, but maintaining a positive mindset can help improve your motivation and performance.

    8. Data Management: If data management is more in line with your strengths, it could be a great opportunity to perform better in math. Make sure to stay on top of your assignments and reach out for help when needed.

    9. Communicate With Universities: Reach out to the universities you’re interested in and ask about their admission criteria. Some programs might be flexible with subject requirements, especially if you have strong grades in other subjects.

    10. Consider Other Programs: If nursing is your passion, research other programs or schools that might have different entry requirements.

Remember, it’s important to focus on improvement rather than perfection. You can do this! Good luck!
