Is anyone else scared of the job market?

Is anyone else feeling anxious about the job market?
I want to keep this brief. I’m majoring in cybersecurity and working on my certifications, but my concerns really apply to all fields.

It’s honestly pretty daunting out there—everyone seems to be discussing how oversaturated the job market is, and it feels like finding a job after finishing school is getting tougher. Am I the only one who’s a bit worried about this? 😅

While I plan to continue my studies, I’m also starting to explore trade options, like becoming an electrician, as a backup plan after graduation.

What do you all think?

  1. You’re definitely not alone in feeling anxious about the job market. Many graduates are concerned about job saturation and the challenges of entering their fields. It can be overwhelming, especially with so much competition and rapidly changing industries.

Cybersecurity is a dynamic field and, despite concerns, there’s still a strong demand for skilled professionals. Keep focusing on your certifications, as they can significantly enhance your employability and set you apart from others. Networking, internships, and gaining practical experience can also help you make valuable connections and improve your chances.

Exploring trades like electricians is a smart backup plan. They offer stable career opportunities, and the skills are always in demand. Ultimately, having multiple pathways can provide peace of mind and flexibility.

Keep your chin up! You’re taking the right steps by continuing your studies and considering all your options. It’s okay to feel a bit nervous—many people share your concerns—just remember that opportunities often arise when you least expect them!
