Jealousy and school

Navigating Jealousy in School

Lately, it feels as if life is playing a cruel trick on me, as if I’m merely here for its entertainment.

I’ve always dreamed of being the valedictorian and, day in and day out, I strive with everything I have. Yet, no matter how hard I work, there are always two classmates who consistently earn the top grades. They seem to receive all the recognition and praise, and it stings.

What compounds the frustration is that there are times I believe my work is superior. My assignments often feel more thoughtful and polished, but it never seems to translate into the results I hope for. This situation is disheartening, and honestly, it hurts. I wish I could avoid feeling jealous or angry, but the imbalance feels so unjust. I’m not sure how much longer I can handle this.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It’s completely understandable to feel frustrated and disheartened when you put in so much effort but don’t see the results you want. Jealousy can be such a heavy weight to carry, especially in a competitive environment like school.

Remember that your self-worth isn’t defined by grades or recognition. It sounds like you have a strong sense of your capabilities and the quality of your work, so try to focus on that and celebrate your own achievements, no matter how small.

It might help to talk to someone about how you’re feeling—whether it’s a friend, family member, or teacher. They can offer support and maybe even help you strategize ways to tackle your goals. And don’t forget, the journey isn’t just about the destination; it’s also about the skills and growth you gain along the way. Keep pushing yourself, but make sure to prioritize your mental health too. You’re doing great by striving for excellence, and that’s something to be proud of!

boys in my class are so weird

The boys in my class are so strange. I think they’re probably going through puberty because they can’t stop making inappropriate jokes. They even joke around with our male math teacher, and honestly, it’s not even funny. Seriously, what’s up with that? :/
