My quarter is coming to an end…

As my quarter wraps up, I wanted to share my journey:

I’ve been fortunate to manage just four classes this semester. It’s hard to believe that, after struggling through freshman and sophomore years with failing grades and ultimately getting kicked out, I’ve turned things around.

When I transferred to a new school in my junior year, I made a commitment to myself to improve. I tackled eleven online classes, alongside seven in-person classes, and pushed myself to finish them all in just four months.

Now, as we start this new semester, I’ve learned I can have early dismissal since I’ve already earned the required credits for graduation. Although I was initially assigned five classes, I spoke with my school counselor and negotiated it down to just four. One class even has me assisting the gym teacher, making my schedule quite manageable!

I’m only at school for four hours each day, and on Fridays, it’s just an 80-minute session. It feels incredible. I have minimal homework, less stress, and plenty of free time.

My advice to you: work hard, focus on what truly matters, and it will pay off. Trust me, it’s worth it!

I’m trying to decide between AP World History and Honors World History. I’ve heard from some sophomores that AP World is easier, but it does require a significant time commitment. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to manage it with my current schedule—I’m taking AP Precalculus, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics. I also have […]
