So, my prom is this Saturday (March 8th), and I asked my friend—who I’ve known since 8th grade—out on February 25th (which was a Tuesday), and she said yes. Yesterday, I tried to discuss our plans for the day leading up to the dance, but we couldn’t come to a decision. She didn’t respond until late in the evening, and then she mentioned that one of her friends wants her to hang out at their house on prom day. She asked if I could join, but unfortunately, their strict parents said no, as they have rules against having boys around. Now we can’t meet up before prom, and I’m really bummed because I was looking forward to going with her. It feels like she prioritized her friends over someone who genuinely cares for her. I’ve been reaching out to other friends to see if they have spots in their groups, but everyone seems to already have plans or their groups are full. I really don’t want to show up alone. What should I do?
