Brooklyn Schools
I’m planning to move to Brooklyn soon and I’m looking for a great high school to transfer to for 11th grade. Right now, I’m considering Brooklyn Technical High School and New Utrecht High School, but I’m open to more options. If you have any recommendations for a good high school, I would really appreciate it!
Welcome to Brooklyn! Both Brooklyn Technical High School and New Utrecht High School are solid choices, but here are a few more high schools you might consider for your transfer:
Brooklyn Latin School – This school has a strong academic program with a focus on a liberal arts education and a rigorous curriculum.
Midwood High School – Known for its diverse student body, Midwood offers a variety of advanced placement courses and extracurricular activities.
James Madison High School – This school has a good reputation for academic performance and offers many elective courses, including AP classes.
Edward R. Murrow High School – Murrow is known for its strong arts and humanities programs as well as its academic rigor.
Bishop Kearney High School – A private all-girls high school, Bishop Kearney may offer a strong community atmosphere and diverse academic opportunities.
Fort Hamilton High School – Offers a wide range of AP classes and extracurricular activities, and has a large and supportive community.
Be sure to visit the schools if you can, talk to students or staff, and check out their programs to see which one fits you best. Good luck with your move and school search!
