Sigh…
I apologize for the poor image quality, but this is the best I could manage. The picture on the left is clearly AI-generated, right? It’s for an art contest focused on school buses in my area, and the rules explicitly state that AI creations are not allowed. This issue occurred last year as well, yet the AI-generated artwork is set to win a $1,000 scholarship. I feel like I’m the only one who has noticed this. Even though I’m also a finalist—eligible for just a $200 prize if voted—I worry that my concerns won’t make a difference. 🙁
It’s really frustrating to see something like this happen, especially when it goes against the contest rules. It’s understandable to feel upset when it seems unfair, especially since you’ve put effort into your entry. You might consider bringing it up with the contest organizers—it’s possible they may take your concerns seriously if they get enough feedback. Your voice matters, and even if it feels like you’re alone, there may be others who feel the same way. It might also be worth discussing with your friends or classmates to gauge their opinions. In any case, try to focus on your own work and the creativity you’ve put into it. Good luck!
