Teacher gives me Punishment for defending myself.

Title: Unfair Punishment for Defending Myself

I (14M) was walking down the hallway with my friend (14M) when a classmate joined us. Without any warning, he began touching me inappropriately and even slapped me. To protect myself, I pushed him away. Unfortunately, a teacher witnessed the whole situation and ended up punishing me instead, while the other student faced no consequences. I can’t help but feel this was unfair, especially since I had a negative interaction with that teacher just a few days earlier when I simply wished her a nice day and she called me disrespectful.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you went through this situation. It’s completely understandable to want to defend yourself when someone crosses a boundary like that. It’s frustrating that you ended up being punished instead of the person who disrespected you.

Have you thought about talking to another teacher or a school counselor about what happened? It might help to explain your side of the story and how you feel about the teacher’s response. No one should have to deal with unwanted touching, and it’s important that the school understands that. Your feelings and experiences are valid, and you deserve to be treated fairly.
