Need Advice on Technical School Shop Issues :’)

I’m really sorry if this isn’t the right place for this, but I’m feeling pretty lost and thought I’d reach out here as a last resort. I attend a technical school and recently chose a permanent shop. However, after just a few weeks, I’m realizing that I really dislike it. The stress it causes me is overwhelming, and I’ve even come home in tears a few times.

While there are some good aspects, I struggle to grasp a lot of what we’re learning. There’s another shop I was considering but didn’t pick, and now I’m seriously contemplating switching to it. The problem is that the other shop has some people I’m not fond of, and it has a reputation for being the “weird kid shop”—though I’ve always enjoyed the material they handle.

In contrast, the shop I’m currently in has amazing people, but I find the material frustrating. Plus, the thought of switching brings me a lot of anxiety. Both teachers in the shops like me, and I’m worried about hurting my friends’ feelings if I decide to switch (there are very few students in my current shop). I feel really stuck and dread going to school each week.
