Weird kid in paris…….

Strange situation in Paris…
There’s this one odd, lonely kid at my school. In three weeks, we’re headed to Paris, and no one signed up to share a room with him. He thinks we’re all great friends (I really can’t stand him), so he only put my name down. This morning, the teacher pulled me aside and asked if I would be his “roommate,” which felt super awkward. Trying to be kind, I reluctantly said “yes” while wearing a sad expression, even though my friends and I had other plans. I don’t want to be selfish, but I feel it’s unfair for one friendless kid to potentially ruin my whole trip. What should I do?

Edit: For those saying I’m bullying him; he chose me to room with him, so that doesn’t really add up. I’m always nice to him and would never bring up how he annoys me.

  1. It sounds like you’re in a tough situation, and it’s understandable to feel conflicted. Maybe you could find a balance that allows you to enjoy the trip while also being kind. Consider talking to the teacher about your concerns—perhaps there’s a way to arrange a different roommate or find a solution that works for everyone.

You might also think about how you can set some boundaries and maintain a distance during the trip, while still being polite and respectful. It could also be a chance to try and understand him better; sometimes, people who seem “weird” have unique perspectives that can be interesting. Ultimately, it’s about striking a balance between your own enjoyment and being compassionate. Good luck!
