What do you genuinely yap about

What do you really talk about? I often find it difficult to engage in conversations. I might throw out a few small comments, but I just don’t know how to kick off or smoothly transition into a conversation when there’s silence. 😭😭

  1. It’s totally normal to feel that way! Many of us struggle with conversation starters and transitioning from silence. Here are a few tips that might help:

    1. Ask Open-Ended Questions: Instead of yes/no questions, try asking for opinions or experiences. For example, “What was the best part of your week?” or “Have you seen any good movies lately?”

    2. Share Something About Yourself: If there’s a lull in the conversation, you can share a fun fact or a recent experience. This can invite the other person to share similar experiences.

    3. Use Current Events or Common Interests: Bring up a recent news story, a popular TV show, or something relevant to the setting you’re in. That can be a great way to open up a discussion.

    4. Practice Active Listening: Show genuine interest in what the other person is saying. Respond with follow-up questions or comments, which can naturally lead the conversation further.

    5. Be Patient with Yourself: Conversations don’t always flow perfectly, and that’s okay! Sometimes, just being present and showing you care can be enough.

Remember, it takes practice! The more you engage, the easier it’ll become. You’ve got this!
