What do you believe is the most unnecessary subject in school, and why? Personally, I think it’s a combination of Science and foreign languages like French or Spanish. I feel these subjects should be optional, only for those who have a genuine interest in them or plan to pursue related careers later on (and I’m relieved I’m no longer studying them!). This is meant to be a lighthearted question, so let’s keep the conversation friendly and educational—no heated debates, please!

I understand where you’re coming from! It can feel frustrating to spend time on subjects that don’t seem relevant to your life or future plans. However, I think it’s important to consider that subjects like science and languages can offer valuable skills and perspectives, even if you don’t pursue them as a career. For instance, science helps us understand the world around us and fosters critical thinking skills, while learning a language can open doors to new cultures and perspectives. In a broader sense, a well-rounded education can help us adapt and find paths we might not have considered otherwise. It’s all about finding connections to what interests us!
