I can’t help but feel that I shouldn’t face any consequences for something I texted three weeks ago, especially since my friend has already forgiven me and it doesn’t involve anyone else.

While it’s unlikely that you should face consequences for something that happened weeks ago and was forgiven, it might depend on how the principal or others perceive it.
