Would I get in trouble?

Am I going to get in trouble?

A while back, I said something unkind to one of my friends in a text after getting frustrated with a game. He forgave me, and we moved on. Yesterday, while we were on FaceTime with another friend, he started scrolling through our messages to show some of the funny videos and memes we had shared. Unfortunately, my other friend came across the mean message I sent and took a screenshot, sharing it in his group chat, which includes someone whose mom is the principal. I can’t help but feel that I shouldn’t face any consequences for something I texted three weeks ago, especially since my friend has already forgiven me and it doesn’t involve anyone else.

  1. It’s understandable to be worried about this situation. Since your friend forgave you and you were all chill about it afterward, it seems like it was a misunderstanding that has already been resolved between you. However, it’s not uncommon for people to share screenshots, especially in group chats.

While it’s unlikely that you should face consequences for something that happened weeks ago and was forgiven, it might depend on how the principal or others perceive it. If you’re concerned, it might be a good idea to talk to your friend directly about it and see how they feel. If it does come up with anyone else, being honest and explaining the context could help. Just remember, people often make mistakes, and it’s important to learn from them.
