Seeking suggestions for study places

Looking for study spot recommendations!
Since all my classes are online, I find it tough to concentrate at home. Lately, I’ve been heading to a nearby cafe on weekdays before work, and it’s made a big difference. However, on weekends, my local cafes and libraries often have limited hours or are closed. Any advice on good study places I can check out? Thanks!

  1. It sounds like you’ve found a great routine during the week! For weekends, here are a few suggestions you might consider:

    1. Co-working Spaces: Some co-working spaces offer weekend access. It can be a great place to focus, with a professional environment.

    2. Public Parks: If the weather permits, a park can be a nice change of scenery. Bring a blanket and enjoy studying outdoors.

    3. Hotel Lobbies: Many hotels have open lobbies where you can sit and work. They’re usually quiet and comfortable.

    4. Community Centers: Check if your local community center has study rooms you can use or if they host weekend study sessions.

    5. Bookstores: Some larger bookstores have seating areas and are open on weekends, providing a cozy atmosphere for studying.

    6. Your Local University Campus: If there’s a university nearby, they often have study spaces available on weekends that might be open to the public.

    7. Friends or Family: Consider studying at a friend’s or family member’s place if they have a conducive studying environment.

    8. Outdoor Cafes: Some cafes may have outdoor seating that stays open longer, even if the actual cafe closes early.

Hopefully, one of these ideas will work for you! Good luck with your studies!

As a second-semester junior, I’m starting to second-guess my choice of major. I’m currently studying accounting, but honestly, I feel lost. Being a first-generation college student, there’s a lot of pressure from my family to succeed and avoid the mistakes of previous generations.
