Shout out to all the on-campus dining hall workers

A big shout out to all the dining hall staff on campus!

I attend a small school, so our dining hall isn’t as bustling as those at larger institutions. However, I recently visited a bigger campus while on vacation for Spring break, and I was blown away by the crowd! The number of people coming and going in that dining hall was more than the total capacity of my own school’s dining area!

To all the dining hall workers out there, I genuinely hope you experience all the kindness from students that you deserve. You should often hear, “Have a great day!” or “Could I please have *insert food*?” and heartfelt expressions of gratitude.

You are essential to the student experience, providing the energy that helps us thrive. You keep our campuses running smoothly, and your contributions are invaluable. Never forget your worth—what you do truly matters.

With affection from afar, an anonymous university student.
