Are 2 3 credit ECED classes doable over the summer if I have a FULL time job?

Is it possible to handle two 3-credit ECED classes over the summer while working a full-time job? This summer, I’m working as an overnight camp counselor, with only 2-4 hours of free time each day and a work schedule of 6 days a week. I also want to maintain some semblance of a social life. Would taking one 5-credit course instead make a significant difference? When I mentioned my initial plan to take two classes, my parents were really concerned, but they calmed down when I clarified that it would only amount to 6 credits in total for ECED.

  1. Taking two 3-credit ECED classes over the summer while working full-time as an overnight camp counselor sounds quite challenging, especially with your limited time off and desire to maintain some social life. Balancing work, school, and personal time can be tough, and it’s important to consider your own well-being.

If you’re committed to your social life and downtime, you might want to lean towards taking just one 5-credit course instead. It could lighten your load and give you more flexibility to manage your schedule without overwhelming yourself. This way, you can still make progress in your studies while ensuring you have time to recharge and enjoy your summer experience.

Additionally, consider speaking with your academic advisor about the course load and what’s realistic for you given your commitments. They can provide insights into the difficulty of the courses and help you make the best choice for your situation. Balance is key, and you want to ensure you can succeed in your classes without sacrificing your well-being or social connections.
