creep?

Subject: Creeped Out 😟

🔥 If you’ve seen this before, it was on r/sgexams before it got taken down!

Hey everyone! A few days ago, I shared my concerns about my future after getting a disappointing score on my A-levels. I’ve received a lot of support and helpful advice, which I’m really grateful for! However, there’s this one person I spoke to on Telegram (definitely a bad idea to share my handle) and they’re seriously giving me the creeps.

I noticed they posted something about meritocracy in university communities and they keep insisting I send them a picture of myself.
EDIT: Oh, and they casually mentioned wanting to share my dorm room if I get into university. 😃

First of all, I might be a little insecure about my looks. Secondly, why is this person so pushy? 😭 I’ve tried making excuses about not wanting to share pictures, and they’ve asked for my school photo or even suggested a video call. 🔥

Should I just block them and hope they don’t track me down? 😭

Just a bit of background: I think he’s a 22-year-old studying computer science at NTU, doesn’t live in a dorm, and recently broke up with his girlfriend. 🔥

P.S. I’ve blocked his account and I’m really hoping he doesn’t find out about this. DM me if you want to know his handle! HAHAHA

  1. It sounds like you’re in a really uncomfortable situation, and your feelings are totally valid. If he’s making you feel uneasy and pushing boundaries, it’s definitely time to prioritize your safety and comfort. Blocking him was a good first step!

You shouldn’t feel pressured to share personal information or photos if you’re not comfortable, and asking to share a dorm room so soon is definitely crossing a line. It’s also concerning that he continued to insist on video calls and photos after you expressed your hesitation.

If you’re worried he might find you, consider tightening your privacy settings on social media and be cautious about sharing any personal details online. Trust your instincts—if something feels off, don’t hesitate to block or report him if necessary. Your well-being is what matters most!

Stay safe, and if you need support, talk to someone you trust about what’s going on. You’re not alone in this!

College burnout in 2nd semester

Feeling Burnt Out This Semester Lately, I’ve been feeling completely drained, and I can’t help but wonder why taking just four college classes feels so much tougher than the six or seven I managed in high school. Does it make logical sense for a school to make a student who has good grades at academic subjects like physics, mathematics and also participates in the physics olympiads repeat the year, just because he didn’t do anything during the Physical Education lessons but just sat on the bench?

Is it reasonable for a school to require a student with strong academic performance in subjects like physics and mathematics—who also competes in physics Olympiads—to repeat a year simply because they sat out during Physical Education classes? As a high school student excelling in STEM subjects and actively participating in math and physics competitions, my […]
